Listen to a Reciter

You don’t have to try and memorize every verse by yourself. There are plenty of online Quran reciters who can help you make quick progress. Simply listen to someone recite, read along with them and make sure you understand what they’re saying—and voila, a way to memorize Quran quickly is born. There are many reasons why so many people prefer audio recitation over other methods; for example, it’s a great supplement for those who want to mix their Quran memorization with listening/reading along with native speakers as well as memorizing on their own at home or in a quiet environment. If done correctly, audio recitation can significantly improve your ability to remember Quranic verses in a short amount of time.

Listen to an Arabic Translation

As mentioned above, memorization is an ideal activity to do while you’re doing something else (but not while driving!). Fortunately, there are plenty of tools online that make it easy to listen to Quran recitation and translation—and get your mind around some of those bigger words. One such tool is Quranic Arabic Audio Recitation Tool. This website lets you search for any word or phrase in English or Arabic and then play it back with a simple audio player. Although there is no translation for every word, it’s a good start—especially if you aren’t yet comfortable reading in Arabic script.

The Benefits Of Reading The Quran

A person can learn a lot from Quran memorization. Through repetition, you get to know how each verse goes so well that it’s possible to turn any word into a prayer, even if you don’t know its meaning or aren’t sure of its pronunciation. Asking God for help becomes as easy as remembering where in your prayers each verse is located; asking for forgiveness becomes as easy as knowing which words precede and follow it. Becoming familiar with Quranic verses also makes one stronger in character because much of what we learn about ourselves comes from studying His words. Through reflection, we become more aware of our own mistakes and qualities.

Importance Of Practicing Tajweed

Quran memorization doesn’t mean much if you are not practicing Tajweed. The art of Tajweed (pronunciation of Quranic recitation) is very important in order to understand how to recite Quran in a proper manner. It involves two aspects: tajwid al-lafz (articulation) and tajwid al-raaqi ilayh (intonation). Without perfecting your tajweed, you cannot truly appreciate what is meant by reciting Quran in pure Arabic or clear Arabic. However, since most people don’t have access to an expert teacher, they can make use of these free resources.
